Ground Up Construction

Definition of term

Ground-up construction is the process of starting from scratch to build a new structure. Ground-up construction involves clearing the land, excavating and grading the site, and pouring the foundation. Once the ground-up construction is complete, the building process can begin. Dirt sites are undeveloped or unimproved plots of land. They are often empty lots that land developers or builders can use for future construction projects.
