Termite Letter

Definition of term

A termite letter is a report created by a certified termite inspector on the presence of termites or wood-destroying insects in or around a house. After the inspection, the inspector presents the termite letter to the home buyer, Realtor, or lender. Termite Letters are also sometimes called Wood Destroying Insect Reports or Wood Infestation Inspection Reports. Some lenders may require a clear termite letter before approving a mortgage.
